June 1, 2020
This first week of June, I am excited to resume Mass at Coronation Parish. I am grateful to the parishioners of St. Matthew's as they have generously hosted us the past few weeks.
This morning our Bishop has penned a nice letter that he has asked us to read on Keeping the Lord's Day (here).
As well, this morning our county moved into Phase 2 of the recovery plan, wherein they have eased restrictions that will allow us to host up to 250 people for Mass (50% of our building's occupancy).
For those who come to Mass, please know that we will continue to uphold county laws (here) and diocesan liturgical guidelines (here). Thus, it will still look a bit different, however, we are moving in the right direction.
As we continue to navigate through these choppy waters, the bishops have continued their dispensation from the Sunday Mass during this time. However, if you feel you or your family is ready, please come join us!
There is no need to send any RSVP's to attend Mass. Also, we've moved our Daily Mass to Noon this summer to give us more time to clean the space before Mass.
No matter where you find yourself on the spectrum today, I like the maxim of St. Pio: "Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry!"
In Christ, Fr. Haake
For your safety during this time, please take a moment to read the Diocesan Liturgical Guidelines before coming to Mass or Confession. (Click here)
